I've decided to resurect this blog as a place for me to work on my poetry and getting it into publication. I'll start with listing places that take online submissions which seem somewhat reliable including one that published one of my poems:

Received national recognition over the past nine

2River:
 Since 1996, 2River has been an online
site of poetry, art, and theory,
quarterly publishing the 2River View
. 
All publications first appear online and afterwards in

3rd Muse Poetry Journal:
A publication from 3rd Muse
Publishing and Web Design, published monthly online,
as well as quarterly in a print edition. 3rd Muse
Publishing and Web Design is based in Melbourne,
Australia.




Able Muse:
  A review of Metrical Poetry.





Abounding:
  A poetry webzine, featuring
poetry in any style, any form.




Antenym:
 Their format is paper until they sell
out (150-200 copies per run). Published three times
per year, 50 pp. Subscriptions available for $13.50
per year, payable to Steve Carll. After the paper
sells out, available as e-mail (without graphics). Ed.
Stmt: An attempt to explore the question of Being
through language, to seek out the nexus between
language and the source of what is, to find a
grounding place to stand and affirm endangered life.




Artistry In Poetry:
An e-zine with featured poets
and contests.






Ascent:
 
Is published three times each year: fall, winter,
and spring. Each issue contains approximately one
hundred pages of new fiction, poetry, and essays.






Avante Garde Times:
 This new page will offer
poets a chance to experiment with new style and
themes. The type of poetry
asked for is work that is experimental or alternative.
Its for you to expand your repertoire.




Barefoot Press:
 Barefoot Press was established a
few years ago to distribute free poetry pamphlets,
featuring South African poets.
Each pamphlet
has a distribution of 20000 copies, making Barefoot
Press pamphlets the biggest free poetry venture in
Africa. They are given out free at bookshops across
the country, and, by and large, 'sell out' within
three weeks of hitting the shelves.
And now, by
making these pamphlets available on the Web, many more
people will get the chance to encounter some of South
Africa's finest developing and established poets.
 





Big Bridge:
An awesome site
dedicated to art, poetry and fiction. Since September
11th, 1997. Big sprawling site with much to offer.






Brooklyn Review Online:
 
For the past two decades
the Brooklyn Review has published an impressive
roster of emerging and established American writers.
 The Review has published faculty members at Brooklyn
College such as Allen Ginsberg, John Ashbery, Joan
Larkin, Julie Agoos, and Ron Padgett as well as,
former MFA alumni such as Paul Beaty, Sapphire, John
Yau, Marcella Durand, and Anselm Berrigan. Published
annually the Review and has a fine reputation as a
serious literary magazine.  Poems have been selected
for Scribners Best Poetry of the Year series.





Cafe Mo.com:
  Possibly one of the most creative
in-your-face online ezines.






Caffeine Destiny:
  A webzine which publishes
contemporary poetry of the Pacific-Northwest. Includes
regular columns and reviews.






Central California Poetry Journal, The:



 
The
Journal represents the work of poets who reside in, or
write about Central California. Included in their
table of contents is a complete listing of all pages
dating back to 1996.  Many of the poems featured in
the Journal have  been submitted by the authors.





Contemporary Poetry Review:
  A Journal devoted
exclusively to the criticism of poetry.

Bob Harrison is author of
several books of poetry including Split Poems, Broken
English, and



Coup Sticks
.
He edited Croton Bug, a poetry magazine, from 1992 to
1996, and CORTEXT, a catalog of visual poetry, with
Nicholas Frank, in 1996. His poems have been published
in many magazines and on the web.






Deep Cleveland Junkmail Oracle:
  A webzine
dedicated to the memory of Cleveland, Ohio's legendary
outlaw poet: DA Levy.

HyperTexts, The:
 
An on-line poetry journal with a simple goal:  to

American Verse Project:
  The Humanities Text
Initiative (HTI) is assembling an electronic archive
of volumes of American poetry. Most of the archive is
made up of 19th century poetry,

although a few 18th century and early 20th
century texts are included.





Basil Bunting Poetry Centre:
  Fostering

study and research on
Northumbrian poet Basil Bunting, and on poets
associated with him through the region, or on the
modernist/post modernist tradition. The Centre also
continues to promote the practice of "live" poetry
reading which Bunting championed, and gives support to
the development of the Basil Bunting Poetry Archive in
the University Library.






Bowery Poetry
Club, The:
  Dedicated to the
proposition that poetry finds its own book. In other
words, it wasn’t until the 1960s that historians
